Like in all rituals, we at Jezabel’s follow a step-by-step process that is passed from generation to generation in order to provide you and your guests with an authentic Asado Argentino experience. From how we start the fire by making a stack of dry wood sitting on top of a heap of lump charcoal, to the way the different cuts of meat are cooked, low and slow, on a grill over a bed of smoldering embers. 

The most well known and classic meat to grill is the Tira de Asado (short ribs), but in any given Sunday in Argentina you will also find Vacio (flank steak) which is really a flavorful cut that responds beautifully to asado cooking. We will prepare the meat to your liking, even though we always recommend to eat your asado “a punto” (medium).

While you enjoy the show and wait for the star of the evening to be ready, we will prepare the perfect Picada Argentina: charcuterie and cheese boards so you will have plenty of time for the social element of the asado, conducted over a glass of Malbec or chilled Clerico (a traditional white sangria). 

After that, you will savor an assortment of traditional empanadas. Meanwhile, it will be the turn of the chorizos, – last to go into the grill, first onto the cutting boards, and then served on a roll with lettuce, tomato and Chimichurri.

Once the meat is ready, it will be served with Chimichurri and Salsa Criolla along side Ensalada Criolla – tomato, lettuce and onion dressed with oil and red wine vinegar – and Ensalada de Papas – potatoes with garlic aioli and parsley – all served family style.

A more simple, however still authentic and delicious asado experience than the Asado Gaucho. You will enjoy an assortment of traditional empanadas and while you wait for the star of the evening to be ready, giving you plenty of time for the social element of the asado, conducted over a glass of Malbec or sangria.

Once the meat and chorizos are ready, they will be served with Chimichurri and Salsa Criolla along side Ensalada de Papas – potatoes with garlic aioli and parsley – all served family style.
